David B. Holton is a versatile Creative Producer, Writer, & Visual Storyteller who seamlessly blends analytical acumen with artistic vision. His "Artist's Journey" began in civil engineering, project management, & business strategy consulting before he ventured into the entertainment industry drawn by a creative calling that has been with him since childhood. Holton grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, surrounded by myths & legends, & has always had a love of great stories. Now, his unique background serves him well, as he can not only develop a creative vision but can also realize the vision in reality.
Now, Dave Holton's portfolio includes work in film, television, & new media, performances on-screen & on-stage, portrait & event photography, & writing fiction, screenplays, & stageplays. Dave Holton has worn multiple hats in the film industry, working as a creative producer, line producer, assistant director, & production coordinator on projects ranging from feature films to web series. His short story "The Lightning Jar" earned him recognition as an "Emerging Voice in Fiction" by Oyster River Pages. His short film "Some Sh*t" won "Best Mockumentary Microfilm" at the Austin Comedy Film Festival-a project he wrote, directed, & acted in while in his hometown on the Outer Banks of NC during the pandemic. In recent years, Holton has performed in short films & several plays, notably the 84th season of "The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama," where he played the speaking role of Captain Arthur Barlow 6 nights/week from May to August. He also served as the play's Assistant Technical Director. Finally, Holton frequently works as a freelance photographer, specializing in portraits & event photography.
Dave Holton's formal education & training include an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Certificate in Producing from UCLA Extension, & improv studies at The Second City.
