Ray Fisher
The series is based on the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley, who in 1955 risked her life to find justice after her son Emmett was brutally murdered in the Jim Crow South. Unwilling to let Emmett's murder disappear from the headlines, Mamie chose to bear her pain on the world's stage, emerging as an activist for justice and igniting the Civil Rights movement as we know it today.

Ray Fisher is an American actor from Lawnside, New Jersey. He is best known for his role as Victor Stone (aka Cyborg) in 'Zack Snyder's Justice League.'

Fisher's career has spanned both stage and screen. In 2013, he was lauded for his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in the New York Theatre Workshop's Off-Broadway production of Will Power's 'Fetch Clay, Make Man.'

In 2014, Fisher was cast as Victor Stone (aka Cyborg) by director Zack Snyder in 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.' Fisher later reprised the role of Victor Stone in the global phenomenon known as 'Zack Snyder's Justice League.'

In 2020, Fisher took a public stand against Joss Whedon, Geoff Johns, Jon Berg, and Toby Emmerich for gross misconduct and racism during the 2017 reshoots of Warner Bros. Pictures 'Justice League.'

Fisher also took a stand against Walter Hamada (on whom Fisher continues to dunk) for attempting to deter him from pursuing an investigation into the 2017 reshoot process.

Fisher's motto is: "Accountability is greater than Entertainment."

  • Trivia
Fisher was rumored as one of the finalists for a lead role in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015). Fisher later debunked this rumor as simply hype.
  • Quotes
[re his stage role as Muhammad Ali] This is more contemporary than Shakespeare, but in terms of rhythm and language, it's very Shakespearean. Will [Power]'s a poet and that definitely comes through in his writing. But it's unlike anything else I've done. People can have 20 different takes on King Lear and have them all be equally good. But the same would probably not be true of Ali.
