Talking to Variety‘s Elizabeth Wagmeister, Chopra said that in India, where she was raised, “it’s a privilege to be able to have an opinion, something that all of us sitting in this room take for granted. We live in a world where we actually have a voice and can use it, we can make life decisions for ourselves, we can
What a difference three years makes. For one thing, Schumer no longer has to write her own movies.
The film follows Schumer’s character Renee who has low self-esteem until she hits her head and wakes up feeling beautiful and confident. Nothing physically has changed about Renee, but when she looks in the mirror she considers herself “undeniably pretty.”
On the red carpet, co-writers and co-directors Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, who have worked together for more than 20 years writing films such as “Never Been Kissed” and “The Vow,” agreed that people should see the movie instead of guessing the message based on the trailer. “We were disappointed because people were discussing a movie that they hadn’t yet seen, which always is going to leave a lot of holes in their understanding,

“I won’t be supporting a movie that continues to perpetuate fat phobia and the notion that for a woman to be confident she needs to look a certain (read: thin, white, rich) way,” the commenter wrote. “The previews are extremely problematic and as a fat woman in Hollywood, who has thousands of fat girls who look up to you, I hope you will consider the message this film sends.
After comedian James Adomian spoke to The Daily Beast regarding his belief that “Saturday Night Live” has an issue when it comes to casting out gay men, “SNL’s” current designated Trump impersonator tweeted a link to the article with the snarky comment, “My dream is to, one day, be as gifted, as brave, as all-knowing as @jamesadomian.”

The pic sees Zamata playing a comedian. Written and directed by Meghie, “The Weekend” is being produced and financed by Marada Pictures’ Sarah Lazow and James Gibb. Meghie is also among the film’s producers.
“The Weekend” follows Zamata’s character as she heads on a weekend away with her ex-boyfriend (Tone Bell, “Disjointed”) and his new girlfriend (DeWanda Wise, “She’s Gotta Have It”). “Over the course of the weekend, they’re drawn into an unexpected romantic entanglement with the arrival of another guest,” the source hints.
