Born in Boston, Marilyn is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and has made her career as the chatty best friend. Her characters are working-class women, chock full of sunshine and laughter - until they burn you with shade.
Supporting film roles include Nina, a Gloucester fisherman's wife alongside Marlee Matlin in Coda and small-town busybody Sheila opposite Jenny Slate in Netflix's The Polka King. When Polka King premiered at Sundance, Producer David Permut wrote to say, "your comic timing and the grounded nature of your performance is simply flawless."
As the "heavy" Nance in the in all-female mafia film Wise Gals, Marilyn throws on her Bronx hoops to play a loud-mouthed, rough-around-the-edges gangster. In the 1970s heist film Vault, she plays a cowering hostage Rosalind opposite Theo Rossi and Clive Standen.
TV guest star roles include a gruff Massachusetts Court Clerk on two episodes of the Apple TV+ limited series Defending Jacob and an exhausted working-class mom on the Showtime TV series Brotherhood.
Marilyn attended Rhode Island College, earning a B.A. in Theatre Performance. She has performed throughout the East Coast in regional theatre and comedy, originating roles at The National Black Theatre Festival, Providence Performing Arts Center and Rhode Island's Perishable Theatre.
