Emmett Cooke is an Irish film & TV composer. Born 1986 in Waterford, Ireland, he studied under the prestigious minimalist composer Eric Sweeney and has a BA Music and a Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for Film & TV from Berklee, USA.
Emmett's music can be heard worldwide on a range of TV stations such as ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, The Science Channel, The History Channel on shows such as American Idol, America's Got Talent, Inside Amy Schumer, Homicde Hunter and Toddlers in Tiaras. Of particular note, was placement of a track in the presidential campaign for Barrack Obama in 2009.
Emmett has worked with a range of popular brands including Ogilvy, Sony Playstation, Hiscox, Ralpha Lauren, Lockheed Martin, Simon & Schuster and now works on scoring feature length films.
His musical influences range from minimalism (eg. Steve Reich and Philip Glass) to lush orchestral styled pieces as well more electronic synth influenced tracks more recently.
