Gregor Bozic was born in Nova Gorica, Yugoslavia. He is a director and cinematographer, known for Stories from the Chestnut Woods (2019),Playing Men (2017) and The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent (2024).
He studied film & cinematography at the Agrft Ljubljana and DFFB Berlin, as well as contemporary visual arts at the Le Fresnoy in Lille.
His work has been presented in numerous important film festivals, such as Cannes IFF, Toronto IFF, Locarno IFF, Camerimage IFF, Goa IFF, Rotterdam IFF, FID Marseille, The museum of moving image NY, Jerusalem IFF, Istanbul IFF, Mostra Sao Paolo, Shanghai IFF, Tallinn black nights IFF, Ghent IFF, Nara IFF, Sarajevo IFF, etc.
Besides working in cinema, he is also conducting a vast research on old and endemic Mediterranean fruit varieties and the stories connected with them.
