Octavio Guerra (1976, Spain) is a director and writer. Graduated in Journalism at the University of Valencia, he also took the Iberoamerican Masters of Film's and TV script writing (FIA-UIMP, 2002-2004. Valencia). His short documentary 'The Russians' Machine' was nominated for the Goya Awards in the category Best Short Documentary. His non-fiction feature 'Searching for Oscar' had its World Premiere in Berlin Critics' Week at the Berlinale 2018 and has been selected in numerous festivals such as Bafici, Gijón, Goteborg and Raindance. In 2020, he received the Valencian Academy of Audiovisual Award for his short film 'Apache'. His latest work 'Heurtebise', co-directed with Elisa Torres, has been selected at the Gijón International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival and the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
