Jon Van Amber began his career in television in 1985 at a small CBS affiliate in central Minnesota. He's worked at numerous television stations around the Midwest until accepting a position in the design department at Twin Cities PBS (TPT). Twin Cities PBS is known for outstanding national documentaries and short series educational television. Jon's created many signature images for both local and national productions. He's also created show packaging and special effects for many of the projects he's been apart of.
Jon worked on shows like Good Ol' Charles Schultz (2007 American Masters), Depression: Out of the Shadows (2008), Make:TV (2009), Slavery by Another Name (2012), Constitution USA with Peter Sagal (2013), Suze Orman's Financial Solutions For You (2014).
Jon Van Amber was awarded an ® Emmy (upper Midwest) for his outstanding animation design work on Make:TV in 2009. Depression: Out of the Shadows was awarded a Peabody Award in 2008.
