Mentored by the acclaimed artist John Akomfrah and the Oscar-winning Asif Kapadia, Baff was tipped as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow 2018.
Baff is a director interested in crafting kinetic, visual stories which often explore notions of identity and (self)perceptions.
Raised in London and Accra, Baff found filmmaking as a framework to make sense of the world. His debut work FOOTBALL FABLES (2010) was awarded at international film festivals before release. It also exhibited at the Institue of Contemporary Art (ICA) in London.
Baff began scripted directing on Channel 4 UK's acclaimed COMING UP series. In 2017 he was named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist. Alongside television drama, his work has encompassed music films, commercials/brand films and virtual reality.
He is currently preparing his debut feature film and is in production on a new moving image work funded by Arts Council England.
