An all-rounded actress-presenter, Laura is proficiently bilingual in English and Mandarin, and has appeared in numerous English & Mandarin dramas in Singapore. Her roles are diverse: from an uneducated villager in the 1960s, to a kind-hearted prostitute, to an intellectually disabled older sister, and a busybody housewife, Laura takes on various characters with ease. She has also played "Emily of Emerald Hill", an iconic Singaporean one-woman play.
Laura started her professional acting career in September 2008. In end-2011, she moved into production work, and is one of the few talents in Singapore who work both on-camera & off-screen.
Back in 2006, she was inspired by a stand-up comedy ("Broadway Beng"), and went on to build a foundation in Theatre Arts at Lasalle College. After that, she went on to work as an actress in TV dramas, Corporate Videos, Short Films, Feature Films, TVCs & Stage Shows. Laura has also worked as a Voiceover Artist, Model & Host.
Laura was the Lead Actress of award-winning 32-minute short film "Cubik". As a newbie, she was cast as the Lead ('Alex Fu') in "Cubik", Official Selection at six International Film Festivals in the USA & Singapore. It also picked up a Grand Remi Award - Best of Fest (Short Film) at the Houston Worldfest 2010.
