Frankie is a London/Milan based Film Writer/Director and Interdisciplinary Artist, and his interests expand to feature films, commercials, A.I films, magic realism experiences and new immersive forms of storytelling.
Frankie was grew up in Taranto, Apulia, Southern Italy. He gets his MA in Bologna at the Alma Mater Studiorum University with a final thesis course of Moral Philosophy. After that he is awarded with a tuition scholarship of one year for a course of "Filmmaking, Editing and Cinematic Grammar" and he moves to Milan. Here he works on commercials, documentaries, and video art projects. He exhibits in galleries in Italy and London, UK, where Frankie moved and where he worked on feature documentaries 'Girlfriend In A Coma' and 'Europe At Sea', starring Bill Emmott, former Director of The Economist. He also worked on Untitled#700, his first short film, on theatrically released 'Tempest' and the BFI funded short film 'Truck'. In 2015, Frankie started directing commercials with Great Guns UK. His films and art installations ended up soon on the pages of The Guardian, Shots, Campaign, Little Black Book, The Drum, CreativePool, David Reviews, AD, Artribune, Elle Decor, Forbes among others; they have collected awards and shortlists from Nowness, Kinsale Shark, One Point Four London, Indie Short Cannes, The Telly Awards, Webby, D&AD, Creativepool, Epic Games Build Munich 2019, the Milan Film Festival and The Video Consortium among others. His photographic work has been exhibited in Italy and UK and published by Hoxton Mini Press/Magnum/BJP.
Frankie is represented by Great Guns (UK/EMEA); he works as Creative Director at Coma Studio UK He co-founded The Curators Milan, a collective of artists and scientists producing "Rewild", a series of art installations that mix design, fine arts and new technologies.
