- Composer
Evan "Moxie" Kitchener is an Australian born composer and sound
designer. Starting out in a small country town, he composed his own
brand of music while still in high school and after moving to Melbourne
to study Audio Engineering he started collaborating with film students
on their films, working on the music and sound design. He carried his
film interest after completing his studies and started applying his
talents to TV shows and features.
2009 saw the release of his first feature film the award winning "Bad Habits", with a dark and menacing feeling to the score. But his most note worthy score is found in the noir thriller "Only The Young Die Good". A string filled landscape peppered with bold brass and haunting piano.
As well as his composing work he has released a solid body of solo work under the name artist name "Moxie".
He is also a founding member of "Earnest Irony". A strictly studio band which convenes to record every year in the hills of northern New South Wales.
