Patch is back! Stephen Nichols is returning to Days Of Our Lives as Steve Johnson! But instead, Days is bringing him back as Steve, a role he first began playing back in 1985. Steve isn't happy about how Kayla restored his sight! (Photo Credit: XJJohnson/jpistudios.com

Yes, That's TLC Member T-Boz Playing Sheila on Days Of Our Lives!

Viewers of Days Of Our Lives can be forgiven for thinking that the actress playing ex-con Sheila looks familiar. That’s because she’s Tionne Watkins, better known as T-Boz, one-third of the popular R&B girl group TLC who had multiple hits in the ‘90s like “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs.” However, while the performer turned a couple brief appearances into a more substantial role on the soap, her time is reportedly coming to an end. Watkins made her debut in November of 2016 as hardened prison inmate Sheila, who made life difficult for Hope when she was sentenced for the murder of Stefano Dimera. Hope had some support from fellow inmate Hattie Adams, who was imprisoned after being framed by her boyfriend for embezzlement. After fellow inmate Chille was murdered, Hope tried to get the upper hand on Sheila and her partner, Coco, but they ambushed and stabbed her! Luckily,

Daytime Emmy for Best Guest Performer: Kate Mansi (‘Days’) may benefit from Emmy rule change against Wayne Brady

Daytime Emmy for Best Guest Performer: Kate Mansi (‘Days’) may benefit from Emmy rule change against Wayne Brady
The Daytime Emmys revived the category of Best Guest Performer in 2015 almost 30 years after it had last been handed out in 1987, but a new rule instituted this year could be highly consequential. In the last four years this award was restricted to actors playing newly created roles, but this year the academy opened it up to established characters as well. This year there are two returning roles in the running: Kate Mansi as Abigail Deveraux and Thaao Penghlis as Andre Dimera, both from “Days of Our Lives.” Both have been Emmy contenders before for these roles (and Mansi was a winner), so does that give them an advantage?

That depends on their Emmy reels. These awards are unique in that both the nominees and the winners were determined by blue ribbon panels viewing sample performance reels from the actors up for consideration. Those submissions tend to level the playing field,
