Amy Brown was born in Cranfield, Bedfordshire to an Irish mother, who was a Primary School Teacher and an English father, who is a University Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow. She attended Dame Alice Harpur School in Bedford and also attended the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
In 2001 she was accepted on to the highly competitive acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (graduating in 2004). Her career has been varied, working in theatre, TV and film. Highlights have included: the complete works season at the RSC; working with Oscar winning Director Jane Campion on the feature film 'Bright Star' and then more recently, at the National Theatre understudying the main parts in Josie Rourke's production of 'Dancing at Lughnasa'.
She appears as Ms Harper in BBC3's new comedy series, 'Boarders' and makes a cameo appearance in the smash hit Netflix series, 'Supacell'.
She holds dual nationality- British and Irish - and is very proud of her Irish heritage.
