Went to Kingswood-Oxford High School in West Hartford, Connecticut, (Class of
'88). Was in the theater club, usually working behind the scenes.
Credits athletics with improving his grades senior year (Varsity
Cross-Country). He made it to the State Finals in Varsity Track for the
800 meters.
Majored first in Biology and then switched to Creative Writing at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York (Class of '92). Graduated with distinction (cum laude) and was inducted into the English Honor Society. Did skits at coffee houses and on the radio, published humor and poetry in the college paper and magazine. Ran Varsity Cross-Country and Varsity Track until shin splints developed into bone fractures forcing him to quit.
Moved to Los Angeles in 1993.
Watches ten movies a week.
