Born and raised in Beijing, China, Yi Tian developed a strong interest in entertainment business. However, under the influence of her parents who are both professors, she got her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in China. After working with Nokia (China) for a short time, she came to the U.S. and soon earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas at a young age.

She was supposed to be a software engineer upon her graduation, but was accidentally discovered by a talent agent to start her acting career. Studying with the renowned acting coach William O'Leary in Hollywood, Yi Tian is a rising young star who has strong acting abilities. She is not just another pretty face, she is intelligent, classy with a quiet edge, kinetic charm and a fresh no-nonsense appeal.

Yi is the associate producer and host at Hello!Hollywood, a TV series reaches millions in China and the U.S.. It airs on 35 TV networks in China and hovers around 6 million households in the U.S.. She also hosts Actors E Chat Show and does interviews with Hollywood celebrities for Actors Reporter. Besides hosting, Yi has starred in several feature films, short films, and appeared on TV shows. You might also recognize her from TV commercials such as Intel, Herbalife, Pacific Alliance Bank, Walmart, and many more. Yi has done several print campaigns and catalogs for Sports Academy for Nike and Adidas. The soon-to-be-released video game HK Game also features her voice. Recently, Two Lives, the film starring Yi Tian, has won the Silver Screen Award at the 2011 Nevada Film Festival.

Yi Tian is fluent in English and Mandarin. She loves traveling, water sports, dancing salsa, hip hop, and martial arts.
