Prior to scoring film and television projects, Amritha Vaz was a human rights attorney, so she's very interested in helping tell stories with purpose. She started her composer career writing with Academy Award winning composer Mychael Danna on "500 Days of Summer", and in 2016 earned a place in Sundance's prestigious Composer Lab. Her work on Disney's "Mira Royal Detective" earned her nominations for two Annie Awards, and ASCAP's Composers' Choice award for Best TV Music. Her passion for inclusivity led her to become a founding member of the Composer's Diversity Collective. Her recent credits include an episode of AppleTV's Emmy nominated series "Home", and Sami Khan's "Angel Dose".
