Nathan Logan Hanley has been writing, directing and producing
independent movies for more than 15 years. Immediately after high
school, he wrote and directed his first short film, "After the
Incident," about what happens after an over-protective boyfriend
murders his lover's abusive uncle. He then began collaborating with his
twin brother, Tyler. He wrote and directed four more short films:
"Calm," "Blackout," "Quicksand" and "The Black Knights." Nathan then
studied screen-writing at Stanford University, after which he wrote and
directed his first feature, "Duck Duck Goose"(2000). He followed that
with "The Vigilante Memoirs" (2002), which was co-directed by brother
Tyler. Nathan then wrote and directed the more widely seen "Rehearsal"
(2006), which was produced again alongside brother Tyler, and also
included the collaboration of friend and fellow filmmaker J. Jesse
Harley. Most recently The Hanley Brothers changed direction, and
co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed the noir mystery "Table for Six"
(2010). Nathan was born in San Francisco and resides in the Northern
California Bay Area.
