Larissa Vereza is an award-winning Brazilian actress, screenwriter, and director who divides her time between Rio, Lisboa and Los Angeles, where she lived for six years. Graduated from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles with a degree in Acting for Film, she has appeared in numerous TV series and films and made her Hollywood debut in the Universal Studios film Android Cop, where she starred alongside Michael Jai White.
As a screenwriter, Larissa achieved recognition as a semifinalist in the Sundance Episodic Lab 2020 and was selected for the NALIP 2019 Emergent Content Creators in L.A. She won the International TV Festival in Rio and earned a spot at the New York Television Festival with her TV pilot "Pegando no Tranco," which she both created and directed.
Larissa then wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Night of Ashes, which aired on Canal Brasil and was selected for festivals such as CortoCircuito and the Short Film Corner in Cannes and recently won the Jornadas Criativas at Rio2C with her project The Fauna Of The Cadavers.
Her passion for mystery and crime series, combined with her experience as an actress, makes her write the perfect mix of plot and character-driven stories, permeated by strong and complex female protagonists.
