David McElwee(I)

Born in Delaware and raised in Central Florida, David has been acting
onstage since he was 5 when he played Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol
with the Junior Theatre Players under the direction of Pam Harbaugh.
From there he did over 30 community theatre and high school plays. Most
of his time was spent at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse acting
and learning how a theater operates at every level. He attended
Catholic school until the 10th grade when he switched over to Eau
Gallie High School, where he could take drama classes and perform in
their yearly musical and various other shows under the direction of
teacher Sarah Munday. David attended the BFA Acting program at Florida
State University. There he performed a many roles in a variety of
styles culminating in performing as Hamlet in his final semester of
senior year. While studying in London he met director and theatre
innovator David Gothard who cast him in Joshua Casteel's new play
'Returns' at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin. David was so inspired by is
time in Ireland that he sought after his birthright and became an Irish
Citizen in 2008. Since then David has lived in LA and New York doing
theatre, television, film, Internet projects, and theatre education.
