Vittorio Muscia is an Italian director and screenwriter. He was born in
Melilli, Siracusa, to a primary school teacher, and an air force
lieutenant colonel. Muscia was very active in the local cinema panorama
and established the first "open-air cinema" nights in the famous and
prestigious Greek Theatre of Siracusa. He got his bachelor in Sociology
from University of Catania, Sicily, and moved to Rome when he was
young.
Muscia began to pursue a carrier in documentary. He wrote and directed documentaries for several television networks such as RAI, RTSI, Rete 4, Rete A, BBC. It was in 2000 that he started working in the Italian film industry. Muscia collaborated with talents such as Andrea and Antonio Frazzi on "The Sky Is Falling" and Mario Monicelli on "Come Quando Fuori Piove". He wrote and directed his own movie, Terapia Roosevelt, in 2006, which was distributed independently in Italy.
Muscia has recently created a production company, Cinecittà 3, based in Rome, to start his own cinema and television productions.
