Actor Meghan Leone Cox was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. Her father James was an oil field well site manager, her mother Rita was a part time librarian. Meghan grew up surrounded by nature in the quiet town of Utopia, Texas.
At 13 years old her mother moved the family to St. Louis, MO so she could attend high school at The Principia - Christian Science college-prep boarding school. While coming of age, Meghan became an all-star athlete in varsity basketball and softball. She also performed in the school choir and played lead roles in musical theater.
After graduating high school, Meghan moved west to Los Angeles, CA where she attended Whittier College for 2 years studying theater and sociology. She then transferred colleges to attend the two year program at Stella Adler Academy of Acting-Los Angeles.
Meghan became very active in theatre, producing and performing in several plays -- one of which was nominated for an Obie award. She moved to New York soon after to study with Wynn Handman. Off-Broadway, Meghan performed a reading of a play for NAMT, while also starring in a handful of independent films.
Meghan, a published poet and also a fierce boxer, now resides back in Los Angeles, CA where she continues her film and television studies with acting coach, BoJesse Christopher.
