Parker McMillan is a Dutch-American writer, director, and first assistant director, with a bachelor's degree in English, emphasis in Screenwriting, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with Dean's Honors. In 2017, he served as assistant director to seven individual VMA nominees, including the Video-of-the-Year nominee "Reminder" by The Weeknd, as well as the Weeknd's Super Bowl LV halftime show in 2021. His 2019 trilingual (Dutch, German, Friesian) short film, "De Kus," won the award for "Best Foreign Language Short" at the 2020 Burbank International Film Festival. Parker was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
