Suzi Battersby
Suzi is a multi-skilled Prosthetics Designer and technician who has worked in film, TV and theatre for 13 years. Originally from Sheffield, she is now based in London and has worked in various countries around the world.

Suzi trained at London College of Fashion graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Technical Effects for Performance, and furthered her sculpting skills completing courses at the London Atelier of Representational Art and The Sculpture School. From early in her career, she has worked for some of Europe's leading effects companies across all specialisms within prosthetics and creature effects setting herself apart as a particularly accomplished and versatile artist. She is the founder and lead creative of Red Girl and as such one of only a few women worldwide who run their own prosthetics and creature effects companies. Red Girl was established in 2017 and there she continues to perfect and further advance industry processes and materials through extensive self-study and technical development.

Suzi is an award-winning and nominated prosthetics designer, most recently being recognized for her work on David Tennant in Litvinenko for ITVX for which she received a nomination for Makeup Design (Scripted) at the 2023 RTS Craft & Design Awards. Over the years, Suzi has been a part of BAFTA winning and Oscar and Emmy award nominated teams, and has made prosthetics for actors including Dame Helen Mirren, Gillian Anderson, Tom Hiddleston, David Tennant, Jared Leto, Timothy Spall, Geoffrey Rush, Michael Fassbender, Billie Piper, Matt Smith, and Rebecca Ferguson as well as musicians Stormzy, Sam Smith and Slowthai. Her work can be seen on such films as Guy Nattiv's Golda, Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant and J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens as well as on TV productions including Silo (Apple TV), Sex Education (Netflix) and Doctor Who (BBC).
