Raised in Moscow, my first education was Moscow State University, Geography Studies, of which I've never regretted. Soon after graduation I started studying at VGIK - All-Russian State Film Institute. Our teacher, renowned Soviet director Marlen Khutziev taught us great deal about poetry in cinema, working with actors, and creating life on screen. I combined studying with working in various field of film and advertising production.
My graduation film "Let's Go for a Walk" was shown at dozens of international film festivals and won many prizes, including the Gran Prix at Karlovy Vary and short-list nomination for the Student Oscar. Since then, directed and produced numerous feature and documentary films. Among the titles are full feature films "The Lead", "Lower Caledonia" and "Elsa's Land", documentaries "Vernadsky New Age" and "The Short Course in War Geography".
