Producer/Director/Editor
I started my career in TV production in the mid 1990's - first as a Researcher, then working up to Producer level for several mainstream channels, including BBC, ITV and Living. This meant being involved in a diverse variety of programming - from daytime entertainment/music programmes, to current affairs and documentaries. Following this, I moved into music video production, freelancing for several London based companies (including Oil Factory and Jane Fuller Associates). In 2003 I decided to leave the city environment and moved to Canada, where I learned the disciplines of filming and editing, in order to move more into the creative side of film-making. After moving back to the UK in 2007, I freelanced again as a producer, covering local live events etc. In 2009 I created Shiny Things Productions, as a hub for my creative and commercial endeavours, producing and directing films and music promos - either as a solo outfit or bringing in talented local crew where needed.
I've since produced 3 feature films, several short films, directed various music/promo videos and secured an international release for our feature film, "Pictures of Lily". Most recently I have directed and edited a feature documentary "Home is Where We Belong" - about an aid worker during the Bosnian War in the 1990s - which is currently doing the festival circuit, and has already won an award. As of February 2025, I am editing another feature documentary "Some Sunny Day" about the British evacuee experience during World War 2, told in their own words - this is due for release in 2025, to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. I have a passion for telling stories through film, music and photography and strive towards creating interesting, innovative art, which captures the mood/feel of a piece and showcases the talent and environment around me, regardless of genre or budget.
