Here Are All the Studio Movies Still Scheduled to Open in Theaters in 2020 (For Now)
No Time to Die” was just the first domino to fall. When the 25th James Bond movie moved from its release in November and prompted Cineworld to announce the “temporary suspension” of over 600 locations in the U.S. and the U.K., it begged the question, just which films are still slated to open in theaters in 2020?

Honestly, not a ton, and the goalposts are moving so quickly that TheWrap just reported the sci-fi epic “Dune” from Warner Bros. would also no longer open on December 18 as planned.

Update 10/22: “The Last Vermeer” added

We’ve already seen plenty of movies jump ship from 2020, with films like “Black Widow,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “West Side Story” and more pushing back by a few more months to summer 2021 or beyond. But we already played this game earlier this year, and already delayed movies like “Wonder Woman 1984” still incredibly have question marks over their heads.

The Old Guard 2 Reportedly In Development, Charlize Theron Returning

The Old Guard 2 Reportedly In Development, Charlize Theron Returning
Charlize Theron told the media earlier this year that The Old Guard 2 would happen when the time is right. And apparently, there’s no time like the present.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, the highly-anticipated sequel is reportedly now in early development with the aforementioned Academy Award winner set to return as Andromache “Andy” of Scythia. The fact that Netflix is moving so quickly on a follow-up shouldn’t be much of a surprise, of course, given the huge success of the original film. The flick is now officially one of the streaming service’s most-watched movies of all-time and has propelled itself into the conversation for one of the best and most inclusive superhero films of the past several years.

The Old Guard, based on a popular comic book of the same name, tells the story of a powerful squad of immortal mercenaries on a vengeful mission against those who betrayed them.

Gal Gadot Reportedly In Talks To Return To Fast & Furious

Gal Gadot Reportedly In Talks To Return To Fast & Furious
At long last, the Fast & Furious franchise appears intent on adding more women to the usually male-centric movies. As a result, one of the most popular female characters from the series’ history might be returning from the grave for an upcoming appearance. Yes, according to insider Daniel Richtman, Gal Gadot is currently in talks to reprise the part that first put her on the map.

It’s unclear in which film she’d return in – be it one of the mainline entries or a spinoff – or how she’d be back in action given what happened when we last saw her, but this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard that the Israeli liaison known as Gisele Yashar may rise from the dead. It seems that the actress is now having conversations to reprise the role and hopefully, we’ll hear something official quite soon.

Of course,

There are currently other films based on the “Fast” IP in development — this decision just affects the main franchise titles.

The year is 2011, and in just a few short years, Zack Snyder will cast Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. But for one brief moment, Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) was the Amazonian Goddess. The actress signed on to play Wonder Woman in a pilot for a potential NBC series, and although the show had some major creative power behind it, the…

Netflix Misses Q3 Subscriber and Net Earnings Forecasts, Stock Falls

Netflix Misses Q3 Subscriber and Net Earnings Forecasts, Stock Falls
Netflix’s growth in the third quarter cooled considerably after its blockbuster Covid-fueled bump in the first half of 2020.

The company netted 2.2 million subscribers in the third quarter of 2020 — below Wall Street’s expectations and under the Netflix’s own previous forecast. The streaming giant also posted net earnings below analyst consensus estimates. Shares were down 6% in after-hours trading.

The company had previously forecast adding 2.5 million paid streaming customers in the third quarter, after record net adds of 10.1 million in Q2 and 15.8 million in Q1 this year — a massive lift Netflix attributed to stay-at-home orders amid the coronavirus crisis. That subscriber “pull forward” in the first half of 2020 led the company to forecast lower net adds in the back half of the year.

Netflix reiterated that point in its Q3 letter to shareholders, saying it missed the subscriber forecast for the September quarter “primarily due to our record first half

Monica Bellucci Played Cleopatra in 2002: Just Saying
The phrase ‘best person for the job’ doesn’t appear to mean much any longer since people find a way to get offended by just about any type of representation these days and have for some time considering that now it would appear that Gal Gadot’s casting in an upcoming movie about Cleopatra is being accused of whitewashing due to the fact that the real Cleopatra could have possibly been fifty percent Egyptian, meaning she would have been darker-skinned perhaps. In this manner, many people are feeling that Hollywood has failed when it comes to truly representing the role, and yet

First Set Photo Revealed From Zack Snyder’s Justice League Reshoots

First Set Photo Revealed From Zack Snyder’s Justice League Reshoots
We haven’t heard any updates about the Snyder Cut of Justice League for a while, presumably because the director is gearing himself and his crew up for the impending reshoots that were officially confirmed last month. Henry Cavill has denied that he’s involved, which makes sense given that he’s busy on the other side of the world shooting season 2 of The Witcher, but it’ll be interesting to see just who shows up.

Ben Affleck has already agreed to return to the Dceu as Batman, while Gal Gadot is still waiting for Wonder Woman 1984 to be released after seeing the sequel delayed several times and Jason Momoa will no doubt be deep into training for Aquaman 2, which is rumored to start shooting early next year. Ray Fisher, meanwhile, has found himself in a very public war of words with Warner Bros. recently, but Snyder is clearly

Cleopatra: 10 Historically Accurate Films About Famous Women In History
With Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins working on a brand new film based around the historical figure Cleopatra, it draws attention to a lot of other movies based on famous and history-altering women. It's often very difficult for these kinds of biopics to remain factually accurate - and sometimes, the story seems to take precedence over the facts.

In fact, even the most well renowned of historical pictures can still contain huge inaccuracies that have historians criticizing the screenplay or the research that went into the movie. However, there are a great number of films that have done their best to be true to the spirit of that famous person or moment in time and have only used fiction to try and fill in the gaps.

Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are Teaming up for a Cleopatra Movie
From one influential part to another, Gal Gadot is attempting to sustain her run at the top for as long as possible by taking on the role of Cleopatra with Patty Jenkins directing as the two plan to make a movie depicting the life of the famed Egyptian ruler. This role is a far cry from Wonder Woman since the two characters are quite opposite from each other, and more in the sense that one is fictional and the other is a historical figure. Such a role will require Gadot to take on a completely different attitude since where Wonder

Adrianne Palicki Believes NBC's Failed Wonder Woman TV Show Was Just Ahead of Its Time

Adrianne Palicki Believes NBC's Failed Wonder Woman TV Show Was Just Ahead of Its Time
The Orville star Adrianne Palicki was able to live out one of her childhood dreams by playing Diana of Themyscira in a Wonder Woman TV series pilot, even if the experience was all too brief. In 2011, Palicki had been tapped by NBC to star in a Wonder Woman TV series produced and written by David E. Kelley. While the pilot was filmed, the network ultimately decided to pass on the series, but Palicki still thinks it could have been a hit if NBC had just waited a little longer to air the show.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Adrianne Palicki opened up about her time playing Wonder Woman for NBC, which also brought about the opportunity to work with The Princess Bride star Cary Elwes - her childhood crush.

"It was honestly the scariest thing ever and the best thing ever at the time. Getting to wear that outfit was just a huge dream.

Is The Time For Historical Epics Over?

Is The Time For Historical Epics Over?
Well, it looks like Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are teaming up once again for another project. The only thing is, it’s not for Wonder Woman 3. That’s probably coming after Wonder Woman 1984 (if that really comes out this Christmas) but the two have something a bit more unexpected in mind. This time, Gal Gadot will be playing Cleopatra, the famous Egyptian queen. When I first heard the news about it, I just thought to myself how Patty Jenkins is going to make Gal Gadot look as beautiful as possible. I won’t lie, Gal Gadot is an immensely beautiful

Universal Reportedly Eyeing Brie Larson For Hobbs & Shaw 2
The closest we might ever get to a Captain Marvel vs. Wonder Woman fight happened when Brie Larson jokingly choked Gal Gadot in some adorable, long-awaited selfies earlier this year. Though the two superheroes might never get the opportunity to square off on the big screen, there’s now at least a chance that the actresses could team up in a completely different action-packed extravaganza.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, the producers behind Hobbs & Shaw 2 are reportedly looking to add more women to the cast for the upcoming sequel, and one of the big names currently in consideration is Brie Larson. Taking to his Patreon account, here’s what the tipster shared:

A sequel is in the works and they are interested to bring back most of the cast of the first one and give them bigger roles. Like Reynolds. Also want to add more female characters. They are interested
