New Trailer For The Predator Spotlights The Mega Predator

Having seen the original Predator wreak havoc back in ’88 with his own eyes, Shane Black knows a thing or two about cinema’s ugliest motherfucker. Which is why we’re cautiously optimistic that his star-studded reboot, simply titled The Predator, will be able to deliver the goods when it lands in theaters later this year.

Featuring a who’s who of A-list talent (Boyd Holbrook, Sterling K. Brown and Olivia Munn, to name but a few), this is a franchise revival that hopes to make amends for Nimród Antal’s ill-fated reboot from 2010, and it seems that Black and co-writer Fred Dekker have but one goal: make the Predator great again. Such a back-to-basics approach has resulted in a film that’s oozing with sci-fi horror, and up above you can catch the latest trailer, which doesn’t feature much in the way of new footage, but does tease what

Shane Black discusses The Predator reshoots and upgraded ‘Mega-Predator’

Back in February it was announced that Shane Black’s The Predator would be undergoing reshoots, which resulted in the film being pushed back – again – to its current September date.

Reports indicate that the reshoots have scaled back the number of Predators in the film, increased the links to both the original Predator and Predator 2, and reworked around “three-quarters of the third act”.

Speaking to Empire (via AvP Galaxy), Black has confirmed that the third act has been reworked, shifting the location of the finale shifting to a forest, and changing the time of day:

“The first time we shot the third act it was daytime. It’s all this spooky stuff but then it’s bright sunlight. It just didn’t work. So I said ‘Ummm, can we do this again at night?’”

Black also discussed the film’s genetically upgraded Mega-Predator, describing it as: “Bigger, meaner and nasty as hell.

Gory New Promo For The Predator Dials Up The Tension

The Predator is back in black. Or, rather, the galaxy’s most fearsome hunter is back because of Black.

Shane Black, that is, director of 20th Century Fox’s fourth installment in this most beloved of sci-fi franchises – sixth if we’re counting the Alien vs. Predator crossovers – which promises to be a gruesome, R-rated rebirth for cinema’s ugliest motherfucker.

Case in point: Fox’s gory new promo for The Predator, which finds Special Forces commando Quinn McKenna (Logan‘s Boyd Holbrook) staring up at what appears to be some human remains, dangling upside-down in the middle of a jungle. Alien: Covenant star James Franco was originally offered the role of McKenna, but ultimately passed. Fox’s attention then turned to Benicio del Toro of Avengers: Infinity War, though he too was forced to bow out dues to issues with scheduling.

But their loss is Holbrook’s gain, and

Latest Look at The Predator Shows Off the Hunter's New Armor
Two new images from The Predator have arrived online. We're getting dangerously close to this movie actually arriving in theaters after several delays, reshoots and a whole lot of impatient waiting. Shane Black, who starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original action classic, is at the helm this time around as co-writer and director. Can he be the man that brings this franchise back to its former glory? We can only hope at this point. For now, we've got a couple of very cool new images that show off the famed alien hunters in action and ready for battle.

The first image shows off the new armor that the beasts will be wearing in The Predator. This time around it's all business, with fitted armor plating and a helmet that looks like it was built for war. The second shot features the creature out of the armor, disarming a guard

New Photos From The Predator and Details on Reshoots Reveal References To Other Predator Films

Some new photos have surfaced for Shane Black's The Predator. They feature most of the human characters in the film along with the enhanced super alien hunter that will be hunting them down. We also have some new details regarding the reshoots that the film has undergone, thanks to AvPGalaxy.

A lot of the changes that they've made in the reshoots involve a lot of stuff that we've seen in the trailer and previously released photos. New Hi-Res Photos From The Predator Spotlight The Humans

The game is afoot.

And we’re not talking about an edge-of-your-seat murder mystery typically associated with the great Sherlock Holmes, but rather, the full-blown alien mayhem that’s coming our way this fall thanks to The Predator.

Set in suburbia and featuring an all-star cast, the pic marks the first entry into this most beloved franchise in almost eight years, so it’s fair to say that director Shane Black’s long-in-development reimagining has been shackled with great expectation. But judging by everything we’ve seen so far – and there has been quite a lot – we’re quietly confident that Black and his team – scribe Fred Dekker included – can deliver the goods. And some zippy one-liners to boot.

But just in case you need some more convincing, a huge batch of hi-res stills have landed online today, placing the spotlight mostly on the human cast. Sure, there are one

The Predator reshoot details reveal less Predators and more links to previous films

Shane Black’s The Predator has faced a more tumultuous journey to the big screen than Arnie’s path through the jungle in order to “get to de choppa“, and now details have emerged of the changes that were made following an early test screening. Beware Spoilers!

AvPGalaxy have revealed the reshoots, which shunted The Predator‘s release from March 2018 to September 14th of this year, involved changing the fate of major characters, as well as dialling back on the amount of Predators in the film, specifically the “friendly” aliens, who were seen mounted on a tank in one of the early photos that was leaked from the set.

Also retooled has been the amount of additional hybrid creatures that Boyd Holbrook and Co. would be encountering, with only the Predator dogs, introduced in Nimród Antal’s Predators, remaining.

While we’re on the subject of previous films in the series,
