Empire’s Grace Byers joins the Hellfire Club for The Gifted season 2

Marvel has announced the first piece of casting for the second season of its X-Men TV series The Gifted, with Empire’s Grace Byers signing on to portray the Hellfire Club member Reeva.

The official description describes Reeva as “smart, charming, authoritative, elegant, beautiful woman who is ruthless in her efforts to fight for her people. She leads an elite band of followers and has a soft spot for her new recruits, but is still capable of extreme violence in defense of her vision.”

The character will align herself with of Polaris (Emma Dumont), Andy Strucker (Percy Hynes White) and the Frost sisters (Skyler Samuels) as the ‘Inner Circle’ of the Hellfire Club, and speculation is suggesting that Reeva is none other than Reeva Payge, a.k.a. the Hellfire Club’s Black Queen.

Concept Art Of The Original Wasp Suit From Ant-Man Revealed

One of the most pleasant surprises in Marvel’s Ant-Man was the appearance of Janet van Dyne in full costume as The Wasp during a brief flashback sequence depicting her apparent death. While we knew going in that the character wasn’t part of the present day Marvel Cinematic Universe, no one expected to see the fan-favourite character in action, and her ’60s era costume looked awesome.

Hayley Lovitt played The Wasp in Ant-Man, but we never actually saw her face, possibly because Marvel has plans for the hero further down the line and will cast a bigger name when those come to fruition.

Those involved with the movie have pretty much confirmed that there was a hint Janet is still trapped in the Quantum Realm and that a future Ant-Man movie is going to deal with Scott and Hope journeying there to rescue Hank’s wife. One popular casting
