Richard de Maaré was born in Schoorl, North Holland, Netherlands 1972.
Sinds the early 90's Richard has been working as an actor and gained a broad range of acting experience. Music and theatre is part of his roots. His father was a photographer, his grandfather was a script writer, director and actor at the Dutch theatre 'Stadsschouwburg Utrecht' and his great-grandfather was involved as a musician at the 'Concertgebouw Amsterdam' from the opening back in 1888 and for many years after.
In 1984 at age 12 Richard played his first starring role in a student film. In the past 25 years he has gained a wide experience with many diverse assignments for television and film, among others. Including a starring role in one of the Dutch popular youth films "House of Anubis" and a supporting role in the popular Dutch television series 'Hollands Hoop'.
Richard also gained a wide experience behind camera's, such as camera and light assisting, grip, directing, producing and since the existence of his founded and operated platform ActorsSpot in 2013, he is occasionally asked as a casting director and assisting in casting processes.
