- Soundtrack
Jazz guitarist Bob Margolin was born in Boston, MA, in 1949. He began
his musical career in Chicago, playing with Luther "Georgia Boy"
Johnson, who had once been a member of
Muddy Waters' band. Margolin's association
with Johnson resulted in his hooking up with Waters' band, where he
played from 1973 to 1980.
In 1980 Margolin had his own band, which played mostly in blues clubs in the southeast US, although he was still a member of Waters' band. When Waters died in 1983, Margolin struck out on his own, In 1989 he released his debut album, "Old School", on Ichiban Records, followed two years later by "Chicago Blues" for the same label.
