Sarah Lian

Sarah was born in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. She lived in California,
Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur before her family settled in Vancouver,
where she mainly grew up. After completing high school in Vancouver,
she went on to Toronto's Ryerson University for her Fashion
Communications degree.
In 2008, while revisiting her roots in Malaysia, Sarah clinched the coveted title as FHM Malaysia's Sexiest Woman of the Year. Also, her phenomenal rise as a household name was established in hosting popular television programs for Media Prima's Gua.com.my and then 8TV and NTV7 networks. During 2010 she adroitly steered 3 programs at the same time. Sarah was hosting the hour-long magazine talk show, Astro Hitz Radar, the award-winning Shout Awards 2010, and co-hosting of ESPN Star Sport's Xtra Time, entertainment program. Her recognizable presence in film, television, radio and new media platforms of the Malaysian entertainment industry testifies to her innate intelligence, high energy and professionalism.
Earlier in 2007 in Canada, Sarah's professional acting career was launched with her first credit as the Hot Asian Girl in American Pie Presents: Beta House (2007). In her move to Asia, and while renowned as a television host, she performed in the 15Malaysia (2009) project and had a cameo as Miss Chic-Kut-The in award winning director Seng Tat Liew's comedic short film, Halal.
Subsequently in Hong Kong, Sarah garnered a supporting lead in Dax Phelan's independent psychological thriller Jasmine (2015). This led her to her next role as the wealthy fashion heiress Lily Lee in Mister French Taste (2010), a cross-cultural comedy web series.
In 2011, Sarah returned to Toronto to re-focus on her first love, acting. She is seriously honing her skills with courses at The Second City for improvisational comedy and other film and television classes. Very soon she was on the radar of casting directors in North America. She booked a role as the edgy hacker Blue in CSI-creator Anthony E. Zuiker's new crime genre Cybergeddon (2012). Next, she landed a recurring role in Franco-Canadian spy series XIII: The Series (2011), as a love interest of Stuart Townsend. Being multi-lingual, Sarah was perfect for this role which demands conversing in English and Mandarin. Shortly after, she also landed a role on Covert Affairs (2010) to work alongside Piper Perabo.
Sarah's face has graced numerous magazines covers including FHM, Men's Health, Shape, Glam. Her media presence has been applauded in various local magazines, web-portals and newspaper dailies. She was involved in many print and television advertisement campaigns in North America and Asia, appearing in ads for Adidas, Budweiser, Kraft, Tic Tac, Cadbury, McCafe, and the Niagara Tourism Board.
Sarah will continue to blaze an exhilarating trail as a true professional artiste, she resides in Toronto.
