Jules Dameron
An award-winning film director who happens to be a deaf trans gay man. Jules earned a Master's of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California. He has also received a B.A. degree in Television/Cinema at Gallaudet University.

Jules directed the Norwegian Television series, "Møkkakaffe" (Bad Coffee), with numerous music videos and short films under his belt. He has worked with all sorts of talents, from an Oscar-winner, indie actors and well-known musicians.

Jules Dameron is an award-winning deaf trans film & theatre director, working with both deaf and hearing actors. Jules graduated from Gallaudet University with a B.A. in TV/Cinema and then obtained an MFA in Film Production/Directing at the University of Southern California, one of the prestigious film schools in the world. Jules is known for his accomplished works in the film industry.

His filmmaking techniques came from his previous film works such as the music videos Walk the Moon's Different Colors for AT&T, Sean Forbes' Let's Mambo (featuring Marlee Matlin), Lazy Song (Miles Barbee) Rolling in the Deep (Amber Zion), Hero (Sean Berdy), and even Somebody I Used to Know (Azora Telford). He's directed series such as Reverse Polarity (on DPAN.TV) and Don't Shoot the Messenger (YouTube) as well as the television series, Møkkakaffe (NRK) which has aired in Norway nationwide.

In addition, Jules has won Best Director in Mockfest for Crazy Town, starring Sean Young (Blade Runner). Jules has not only worked in the film industry but also has made the crossover to the theatre industry as well. Jules has directed Jordan Harrison's Maple & Vine in New York Deaf Theatre, Acted as Capulet and assisted directed for Ophelia's Jump's Romeo & Juliet, and also acted in prominent roles in Deaf Broadway's virtual plays such as Brad Majors in Rocky Horror Picture Show and Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables. On top of that, Jules has directed a virtual ASL version of Phantom of the Opera for Deaf Antlers, a Canadian-based theatre company. Jules also is looking forward to working with Deaf Austin Theatre, and is slated to direct Moises Kaufman's The Laramie Project in 2023.

Jules is a current co-owner of Hypernovas Productions alongside his talented best friend, Joshua Castille. He also is part of the non-profit organization, Warehouse TV, based in Burbank, California.
