Finnish Australian Saara Lamberg is a director, actor, writer and producer. She has received several awards for her work, including the Best Film at the IFF (Milan 2018), the Best Film at the FAFF (Los Angeles 2017), Cinema Australia Audience Award (Melbourne 2017), Bronze prize at the Beverly Hills screenplay contest (Hollywood 2013), Best Actor at Comfy Shorts (Melbourne 2014), Best Drama at the Connect Film Festival (Melbourne 2014) and Best Actor (Lithuania 2004). She lived in England 2006-2010 and studied in the critically acclaimed Dartington College of Arts, graduating with a BA (HONS) degree in Theatre and Choreographic Practices in 2007. She moved to Melbourne in January 2010 and received a Distinguished Talent Permanent Residency in 2012 and citizenship in 2014. Innuendo was her first feature film, it opened theatrically in Melbourne 2017 and was broadcast nationally in Australian free to air television in 2019. Her second feature film Westermarck Effect will complete and release 2020. She is in production with her third feature The Lies We Tell Ourselves that she has shot in various film festivals around the world. In her personal life, Lamberg has struggled with tragedies such as losing her mother to early onset dementia and herself facing breast cancer in her thirties. She is an ambassador of Entertainment Assist, an organization supporting mental health for artists and entertainers. Lamberg is known for her personal strength and courage, as well as extreme work ethic and friendly attitude on and off set.

In 2009 Saara stayed in Yoga Vidya Gurukul ashram in India and received a yoga teachers qualification.
Saara's film (written, produced and starring) Candy Cravings won Best Music (Charly Harrison) at the 48 hour Film Competition, Melbourne November 2013.
Saara won Best Actor award at the Comfy Shorts Film Festival March 2014 in Melbourne for her role in Fairy Tale. The film also won Best Film.
Saara won Bronze at the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest with her thriller screenplay (feature) Innuendo. Development has started for the film (March 2014).
Lamberg starts each shoot with a concentration exercise she devised combining the Le Coq technique and meditation. Both cast and crew are asked to join in.
The world's first interactive apocalyptic game Patient0 by Irl shooter director Brendan Bacon cast Lamberg as the lead in the production. Lamberg later cast Bacon as a lead in Innuendo.
On a public Skype call with David Lynch, Lamberg told him that she directed some scenes of Innuendo in the nude, to which Lynch replied: "I sometimes do that too." (Transcendental meditation event with David Lynch joining through Skype, Melbourne).
