Tom Turley(II)
- Cinematographer
Tom Turley is known for bringing a touch of the documentary sensibility to much of his work, through his experience as a handheld camera operator, ability to improvise and his affinity for naturalistic lighting.
During his career he has worked across TV drama, feature films, as well as shooting documentaries across the world.
His drama work has been recognised by BAFTA (The Overcoat) and his documentary work by the Emmys (The Art of Political Murder).
Growing up in the UK, he initially studied Spanish, literature and film, and lived in Santiago, Chile for a time. He learned his trade on set rising through the ranks of the camera department as the film industry began to embrace new digital technologies. Whilst working as crew he was simultaneously exploring his own aesthetic as a DoP.
