An alumni of the London Film School, Nicola Sersale receives his first prize as a director from esteemed Italian film-critique Morando Morandini for his short 'The Egg'. His second film 'Il Tour di Davide' screened at over 20 festivals, including the 37th Cleveland Int. Film Festival, Giffoni Film Festival and the 34th Durban Int. Film Festival, won prize for Best Actor at Cortinametraggio and was distributed in Asia by Pacific Voice Inc. As an editor, Nicola's feature film credits include the documentary 'The Invisible Word' distributed internationally by Journeyman Films and picked up by numerous online platforms including Amazon Prime and iTunes. His short rom-com 'Ideal Husband' won the Gold Remi at WorldFest Houston's 50th edition, Best Short at the Ferrara Film Festival and Best Director at the Four Seasons Film Festival in London, UK. It was acquired in 2020 by distribution company Shorts TV International. Nicola has most recently co-directed a feature documentary called 'Letters from the Blue', an investigation into how inmates, from their cells on Death Row, help pen pals outside in their daily struggles. This doc has been selected at numerous worldwide festivals and has recently picked awards at the Innuendo International Film Festival and at the Festival AltFF Alternative Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
