Javier discovered Editing as a Film Studies major at U.C. Berkeley, editing 3 Eisner Prize finalist films he also directed. The Eisner Prize is UCB's highest award for art and creativity. All 3 films are in the permanent collection of the Pacific Film Archive.
Javier began his career editing hundreds of commercial, music video and short-form projects with dozens of unique clients - his commercial work being recognized with multiple Telly Awards. His first foray into long-form projects, came by way of the Oscar-winning feature documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth".
Without leaving commercials and documentaries behind, Javier successfully expanded into scripted feature film projects with the support of veteran film editor and mentor - David Moritz.
Javier is represented for Scripted Film and Scripted Television by Matt Coatsworth @ United Talent Agency (UTA).
