Michiel is an experienced editor with a keen sense of rhythm, emotion, and storytelling. Since graduating from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2007, he has built an extensive portfolio spanning feature films, drama series, documentaries, and television programs. He primarily focuses on editing drama series and feature films, collaborating closely with directors and producers to shape their vision from the first rushes to the final sound mix.
Based in Amsterdam, Michiel is an active member and board member of the Netherlands Association of Cinema Editors (NCE), where he contributes to the development of the craft and the editing community. He is also the creator of the NCE Podcast, the first Dutch podcast dedicated to the art of film editing.
