Armi Rae Cacanindin is an award-winning Filipina producer and the founder of Popple Pictures. She focuses on producing impactful films, both fiction and documentary, combining urgent stories with distinct and courageous vision from its collaborators.
She is well experienced in multinational co-productions, including the acclaimed debut feature Whether the Weather is Fine (Kun Maupay Man It Panahon), a Philippines/France/Singapore/Indonesia/Germany/ Qatar co-production. Her work also includes the creative documentary Aswang, a Philippine/France/Norway/Germany/Qatar co-production that has received numerous awards both locally and internationally.
Her films have premiered in A-list film festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Toronto, Sundance, Shanghai, Busan among others. She has received grants and funding from different funding bodies in Asia, Europe and America.
