Fior Lopez

Actress and singer Fior Lopez, born 1976 in Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic, began to sing in the chorus of the church at the age of 3. At
15 she participated in college song festivals and won one of them.
After a model class she started modeling in several fashion shows. With
19 she started training on classical singing with the famous soprano
Marianella Sanchez. She introduced her to the Dominican National
Chorus, where she participated in practice and concerts. At the age of
20 she performed in Panama with the band Coctel de Frutas. Twenty-one
years old, Lopez toured through the East of the United States with the
Chabelly Merengue Band over 7 months. For educational reasons, she
stopped her young singing carer and studied Social Comunications
(Journalism) at the University Dominicana O&M and graduated in 2005
with honors (Cum Laude). During her university time she took classes in
acting and courses in radio and TV speaking, narrating and presenting
(Escuela Nacional de Locucion Otto Rivera). In 2004 Lopez acted in the
leading female role in the short film Bajo la Sombra de la Sangre. This
film was the winner in the 8va Muestra Internacional de cine film
festival in Santo Domingo and was shown 2007 at the XIX Latinamerican
Film Festival in Washington,DC.
In January 2012 Fior decided to record two songs on a Demo-Cd with full authorization from hfa, these songs are "Esa Extrana Dama" de Valeria Lynch and "Se Que Vendras Llorando" de Olga Tanon. This demo album is called Transition and mean much for her.
