Nils Eckhardt was born in Kassel, Germany. He grew up in Aurich/Ostfriesland and earned a diploma in illustration at the HAW Hamburg in 2006.
Since 2005 Nils is a freelance illustrator and animator, mainly working as a storyboard artist and supervisor, known for Meine Chaosfee & ich (2022), Drachenreiter (2020) and Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss (2015). He is now living and working in Herrsching/Ammersee, nearby Munich.
