Netflix dates 'Xoxo' rave film
The original ensemble comedy about a group of 20-somethings on a crazy adventure to the biggest Edm festival in America will debut on August 26.

Xoxo follows six strangers whose lives collide in one frenetic night, one of whom, a young DJ called Ethan, gets a last-minute slot to perform after his tracks go viral online before the festival.

Sarah Hyland, Graham Phillips, Brett DelBuono, Chris D’Elia, Haley Kiyoko, Colin Woodell, Ryan Hansen, Ian Anthony Dale and Ione Skye star.

Christopher Louie directed and Dylan Meyer wrote the screenplay. Producers are Max Leitman, Joe Russell, Christopher Louie, Pete Tong, and Dan Shafer.

Tong also acted as the film’s music supervisor.

Deadline-Launched Teaser Trailer ‘The Prototype’ Hatches Berlin-Bound Pic Package

Exclusive: What started as a cool teaser trailer on Deadline has turned into a full-fledged movie package that will be shopped hard at Berlin next week. Andrew Will has written and will direct The Prototype, a sci-fi thriller that will be produced by Will and Shawn Wallace of Variant Films, Sean Cushing of Cantina Creative and Max Leitman of Bandito Brothers. This is being put together in a similar fashion that the Bandito Brothers employed when it did Act Of Valor, the $12 million film that has grossed over $80 million. FilmNation & Bandito Brothers Go For “The Prototype”

FilmNation has announced that they will provide financing for Andrew Will’s (Archangel) The Prototype, a film being produced by the Bandito Brothers, who also made the gritty box office hit Act Of Valor.

The project first begat notoriety when a clip of a short film (being shopped by WWE) was leaked on the internet. Then, in swooped FilmNation and the Bandito Brothers, and like magic, the short film is being turned into a feature entitled The Prototype. According to Bandito Brothers’ producer Max Leitman, The Prototype “combines immersive action and a high-concept story, to the big screen.” FilmNation’s Glen Basner added: “I loved Andrew’s short and immediately saw the potential for a thrilling and cool film. After working with the Bandito Brothers on Act of Valor, I know this will be one of the most exciting action films to date.”

Not to be confused with the video game series of the same name, the story follows an experimental drone soldier being hunted by the FBI’s elite Critical Incident Response Group after it escapes from a top-secret military base and goes on the run.

Act of Valor producers The Bandito Brothers are heading to the underground racing scene for their next project, High Speed.

The film will follow the best high-speed police pursuit drivers in the country, assembled as a unit to stop and elusive, high-end underground racing circuit hellbent on running deadly point-to-point races through major American Cities.

The Bandito Brothers Scott Waugh will be directing the project, which is written by Greg Russo. The director will also be producing the project with Max Leitman and Jay Pollak.

You can catch Act of Valor in theaters February 24th.

Production for the project is not expected to start until 2013.
