‘Avalanche’ Trailer Teases Absolute Madness

The First trailer for the dark comedy, ‘Avalanche‘ has been released. The film follows a librarian when his wife–along with her lover–become trapped in a house together and are forced to navigate the chaotic fallout of their indiscretions. There’s great bits of comedy sparsed throughout this trailer, and teases the silly situations that our three characters find themselves in.

Avalanche‘ was directed by Todd L. Green, who was the recipient of a 2015 Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Grant and was also awarded Best Director at the 2013 Ifq Festival for Louis Grant a series he co-created, produced and directed. The film stars and was produced by Stelio Savante, Autumn Withers and Gideon Emery, along with Todd L. Green and Neil Sandilands executive producing. ‘Avalanche‘ seems to be aiming for a 2018 release, so make sure to stay tuned as we learn more. In the meantime, here’s the trailer

"How many more secrets do you have?" "Oodles." The Willoughby Movie Company has debuted the first official trailer for a relationship drama titled Avalanche, from writer & director Todd L. Green. The film is about a librarian, his wife, and her lover who become trapped in a house together and are forced to navigate the fallout of their indiscretions. Starring Stelio Savante, Autumn Withers, and Gideon Emery in the three lead roles. There seems to be some intriguing things going on, involving cameras and setups just to catch the other person. This has a very low budget look and sound, and it feels like a stage play more than cinema, but it should still be a fun film to watch. As long as you can laugh at this kind of relationship humor. Ricky Church chats with Stelio Savante about Media

This Saturday, TV One will premiere Media, a film about the power struggles within a family that runs a media corporation. Media focuses on the Jones family and their media empire, Jones Universal Media Properties, better known as Jump, as matriarch Jackie (Penny Johnson Jerald) and her son Michael (Brian White) combat forces in and outside their family that seek to destroy everything they’ve spent their lives building. Flickering Myth got the chance to speak with Stelio Savante, one of the actors in the film who plays underground power broker Howard Boston. Savante has had a long career in television and film such as Ugly Betty, Eisenstein in Guanajuarto and The Making of the Mob: New York. We spoke with him about his role in Media as well as Netflix’s recently released Colors of Heaven.

Gideon Emery and Autumn Withers join Stelio Savante in Avalanche

Gideon Emery (Teen Wolf, Daredevil) and Autumn Withers (Any Day) have joined Stelio Savante (Eisenstein In Guanajuato, The Making Of The Mob: New York) in Todd L. Green’s Avalanche.

Avalanche tells the story of a librarian (Savante), his wife (Withers) and her lover (Emery) who after becoming trapped in a house together must navigate the chaotic fallout of their indiscretions.

Emery will be most familiar to Daredevil viewers for his portrayal of Anatoly. He is also known for his recurring role on Teen Wolf as Deucalion and for his role as Teeny in How To Train Your Dragon 2. Withers guest starred in Masters Of Sex and Grey’s Anatomy and will next be seen in the thriller Any Day alongside Sean Bean, Eva Longoria and Kate Walsh.

'Avalanche' cast bulks up
Gideon Emery has joined Todd L. Green’s drama alongside Stelio Savante and Autumn Withers.

Production on Texas-based Willoughby Movie Company’s Avalanche is scheduled to begin in fall in Houston.

The story centres on a librarian who becomes trapped inside a house with his wife and her lover.

Emery has starred in the Netflix show Daredevil and is also known for his recurring role in Teen Wolf and voiced a character in How To Train Your Dragon 2.

Savante played a supporting role in Eisenstein In Guanajuato and has a recurring role in AMC’s mini-series The Making Of The Mob: New York, while Withers is best known for guest appearances on Masters Of Sex and Grey’s Anatomy.

Writer-director Green received funding for Avalanche in part from the city of Houston via the Houston Arts Alliance.
