Baby Reindeer has prompted searches for Richard Gadd's real-life alleged stalker, with various people having now been accused. Netflix stands by the show and the decision to give Gadd the platform to tell his story as he saw fit. Baby Reindeer has been a big hit for Netflix.
Netflix responds to Baby Reindeer prompting searches for the real-life Martha. Created by and starring Richard Gadd, Baby Reindeer is based on Gadd's real experiences with a stalker in his past. This stalker in the series is named Martha, and she is played by Jessica Gunning, but the show's popularity has resulted in online sleuths attempting to uncover the identity of the real figure from Gadd's life. While the stalker has now seemingly been identified as Fiona Harvey, who just recently came forward, the search has resulted in others being falsely accused.

Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer finds stand-up comedian Donny (Gadd) living with his ex-girlfriend’s mother (Nina Sosanya) and working at a Camden pub to supplement his failing career. When, one day, Martha (Jessica Gunning), an overweight middle-aged woman who claims to be a successful lawyer but can’t afford a cup of tea, sits down at the bar, Donny offers it to her on the house. That cup of tea will initiate a years-long “relationship” that will initially flatter Donny’s ego but later prove to be both degrading and petrifying.
The series was adapted from Gadd’s autobiographical one-man stage show of the same name, and the actor-writer lends Donny such a piercingly unique voice. Gadd narrates his own horror story with a snappy matter-of-factness, like he’s reluctant to ruminate on one stomach-churning detail for too long before moving on to the next, and a self-awareness that’s never navel-gazing.

Starz has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming historical drama “The Serpent Queen” starring Samantha Morton as Catherine de Medici. The wicked new drama series will premiere on Sunday, September 11th.
A historical drama with an edge, “The Serpent Queen” puts a contemporary spin on conventional storytelling to tell the tale of Catherine de Medici’s (Morton) rise to power. In the series premiere, “Medici Bitch,” Catherine’s tale unfolds through flashbacks as she defends her actions and imparts the lessons she’s learned to her new servant confident, Rahima. At 14, the young, orphaned Catherine marries into the 16th-century French court. Despite her commoner status, her uncle Pope Clement, has negotiated a large dowry and a geopolitical alliance in return for the union, and with it comes the expectation of many heirs. However, on her wedding night, Catherine learns that her new husband is in love with Diane de Poitiers,...

[Note: With the film now finally available on VOD in the UK, here's a reposting of our Frightfest review of Fubar, now retitled and released under the Frightfest Presents... banner as Killer Weekend]
Us Brits do comedy horror pretty well. Of course, everyone around the world knows about Shaun of the Dead but there’s along list of other great films in the sub genre. From Lesbian Vampire Killers to Severance to Doghouse to Inbred to Stitches to Sightseers. These cover all different types of comedy and horror too, so Killer Weekend does have plenty of competition (or good company).
As well as comedy horror, people from Britain are also known for being pretty good at ‘Stag do’s’ (bachelor parties) and Killer Weekend mixes both of these together. A group of friends and the father of the bride embark on a paint-ball war against the undead only things don’t go as...

E4’s new comedy, starting tonight, about a group of West Country 20-somethings boasts a star turn from Sean Bean…
