‘Cute Little Buggers’ Review

Stars: Kristofer Dayne, Steve Aaron-Sipple, Dan Abrams, Lydie Misiek, John R. Walker, Caroline Munro, Honey Holmes, Gary Martin, Dani Thompson | Written by Garry Charles, Andy Davie, Tony Jopia, Kristofer Dayne | Directed by Tony Jopia

If Monty Pythons and the Holy Grail (1975) and Watership Down (1978) taught me anything growing up, if it doesn’t look like it isn’t dressed up to attend the Playboy Mansion, rampant rabbits are dangerous. Tony Jopia takes that premise one step further with his B-Movie creature feature Cute Little Buggers.

When hostile aliens land on earth with the intension of taking over the planet to save their own race, they choose to mutate the local rabbit population. Blending the rabbits with alien DNA, they knowingly unleashed the cute but vicious blood thirsty creatures on the unsuspecting locals. As the butchered bodies starts piling and the rampant rabbits begin to rampage, the locals are forced to

200 Degrees is Only Lukewarm: A Film Review

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by the distributor. Level 33 Entertainment is an advertiser on this site. Director: Giorgio Serafini. Writer: Garry Charles. Cast: Eric Balfour, Ladon Drummond, Kristin Cochell, Joe Grisaffi and Larry Wade Carrell. 200 Degrees is a small indie production. From Smoke Hammer Media and West Arts, this film centrally stars Eric Balfour (Backcountry, 2014). He plays the ultra deceitful Ryan Hinds. Trapped in an industrial kiln, there is no way out for Ryan, unless he can face the truth. But, this very unloveable character never integrates, nor lives the truth, in any way. 200 Degrees is very much inspired by James Wan's Saw (2004), especially in setting and plot design. Almost the entire film is housed in one, small room. As well, 200 Degrees is in every way a minimalist production. Almost all interactions take place on a phone, or through a speaker. The entire film rests with Balfour,

Indie Spotlight

We return with the latest edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes details on graphic novel Graveyard of Empires, the Season 2 premiere of Scott Ian’s Blood and Guts, Cowboys Vs. Vampires distribution news, and much more:

Graveyard of Empires Graphic Novel: “From Alexander the Great’s Macedonian army to Genghis Khan’s Mongol horde to the British Imperial machine of the nineteenth to the Soviet Union to the twenty-first century United States of America, no occupying force has ever been able to control Afghanistan — the very reason it’s known as the Graveyard of Empires. Mark Sable and Paul Azaceta drew upon that history in their Image Comics series Graveyard Of Empires, set in present-day Afghanistan, where American troops are caught in a seemingly unending conflict with the Taliban. That is, until a new enemy enters the field: the undead.

Prepare Yourself For “Sinister Visions”

Prepare Yourself For “Sinister Visions”
Anthologies within our favorite genre are definitely trending upward, with V/H/S, The Abcs Of Death and other such fare making waves the past couple of years. Well, now you can add another film to the list of those joining the party. That would be Sinister Visions, a film that features five different stories, from succubi, zombies, demons, serial killers, and a segment entitled “Genital Genocide.” You’re decision one way or the other has been made by that segment title alone, I suspect. The project is preparing for screenings abroad over the summer and a DVD around these parts in the fall. Check it out.

Review: Dead Cert (DVD)

  • DailyDead
How different would Scarface be if Tony Montana had a lust for blood instead of coke? Or, what if a clan of vampires made their own crime family? Wouldn’t that be an awesome movie? Vampires and gangsters seem like a perfect match. They both enjoy secrecy, violence and power. How hard would it be to mix some blood and money into that equation? Maybe a little harder than you might think…

Dead Cert, based off an idea from horror writer, Garry Charles (The Summer Massacre), takes the viewer deep into the underground world of Freddy “Dead Cert” Frankham (Craig Fairbrass Cliffhanger). Frankham, trying to make a name for himself in East London, has just built a nightclub, “Paradise.” He has no idea that the land he acquired for this club belongs to the boss of all vampires, “The Wolf,” who is planning on getting it back. What’s a
