‘The Umbrella Academy’ Costume Designer Christopher Hargadon Crafts Looks For “Diverse And Eccentric” Group Of Superheroes

For Christopher Hargadon, who designed costumes for The Umbrella Academy, the “diverse and eccentric personalities” present within the show were the key factor, that made it an instant draw. Based on a comic book series created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, the Netflix superhero series occupied a stylistic space all its own, replete with characters and visual details that captured the mind.

First and foremost, there were the seven members of “The Umbrella Academy,” themselves, who had been adopted by an eccentric billionaire at an early age, and trained to save the world. Each crime fighter in the makeshift family had his or her own specific skill, and a similarly distinct look to go with it. Perhaps most memorably, there was Tom Hopper’s Luther, an astronaut with super strength, and the upper body of an ape.

In The Umbrella Academy, though, some of the more fascinating characters to

‘Game of Thrones’ Star John Bradley on Sam’s Shocking Revelation: ‘It’s a Sucker Punch’

‘Game of Thrones’ Star John Bradley on Sam’s Shocking Revelation: ‘It’s a Sucker Punch’
Spoiler Alert: Do not keep reading unless you’ve seen “Game of Thrones” Season 8 Episode 1, titled “Winterfell.”

Like many “Game of Thrones” fans, John Bradley barely slept a wink last night.

The actor attributes his insomnia partly to jet lag, and partly to nerves. The eighth and final season premiere was a monumental episode for his character, Samwell Tarly, for more than one reason.

In the latest episode, Sam found out via the ever-tactful Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) that his father and brother had been burnt to a crisp for refusing to bend the knee, and then had to reveal to his best mate Jon Snow (Kit Harington) that he’s not a Stark bastard after all, but a Targaryen, and therefore the true heir to the Iron Throne. One can forgive Bradley for being a little nervous.

“It’s hard to huddle up in your little bed and know

Netflix Has Officially Renewed The Umbrella Academy For Season 2
Given how the first season of The Umbrella Academy ends with a monumental cliffhanger, it would be criminally unfair for Netflix not to renew the sci-fi series for a second season, right? Luckily the streaming platform announced the fate of the star-studded show, which was adapted from the Dark Horse Comics title of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, on April 2 - season two is officially happening! Despite Netflix's usual caginess when it comes to releasing ratings or the number of people who tuned in for season one, it certainly seems like The Umbrella Academy has a strong fandom behind it. Renewing it makes sense.

According to a statement released by Netflix the cast is set to reprise their roles, including Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin Min. Any additional casting news for season two will apparently be announced at a later date,
