Vahe Papazyan was born in Armenia but moved to Los Angeles in 1988 for better opportunities. His family had to endure the hardships to cultivate a better future for him. At the age of 7 his dad bought him his first VHS Sony Camera, with this camera Vahe fell in love with filmmaking. During his early ages he made remakes of Married with Children, Gangsters Paradise, Channel 5 News and others. By the age of 9 he started editing and shooting his own movies, he made several short films that were mediocre at best and slowly started to develop his vision and his unique style of shooting. As time went on he moved on to stills and by the age of 18 he graduated from Bravo Medical Magnet with a 4.3 GPA. Having pressure from his parents he went to UCI as a Bio major with dreams of being a dentist, a year later he had dropped out and enrolled in LACC. During an elective course in filmmaking he fell in love with cinema and the art of framing and lighting. By the age of 19 he started shooting low budget projects while saving up to purchase lighting/grip and camera equipment. By the age of 21 he began shooting Music Videos and shorts on the regular while ACing on bigger budget productions to learn from the masters. At the age of 26 he realized that in order to shoot high quality material he needs a deep knowledge of lighting, this is when he acquired a G&E truck and a Red One MX and started Gaffing as well as shooting higher budget projects. After years of practice in both the AC and G&E world he began solely focusing on cinematography. Now he shoots in Los Angeles while providing a full G&E and Camera Package. If you watch his material you will see the change in quality and experience.
