Dan Clifton is an American film producer, who lives in Los Angeles and New Orleans.
In 2018, he recently completed production on "A Violent Separation," starring Brenton Thwaites, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Ben Robson, directed by The Goetz Brothers, as well as "The Cleansing Hour," directed by Damien LeVeck and starring Ryan Guzman and Kyle Gallner.
Previously, Dan produced The Boy Downstairs, which premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and was distributed domestically by FilmRise. Dan has also worked as a producer on numerous projects with The Safran Company including The Belko Experiment (Co-Producer), The Choice (Co-Producer) for Lionsgate in 2014 and The Atticus Institute (Executive Producer) in 2013. In 2012, Dan produced the voyeuristic horror film The Den, which sold to IFC Midnight and was one of the best-reviewed horror films of 2014.
Dan attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for Film and Television where he wrote, directed and produced the short film, "For All Mankind," which won a National Board of Review Student Scholarship and The Alfred P. Sloan Science and Film Award. The film placed as a Wasserman Finalist in the NYU First Run film festival in 2009.
Clifton grew up in Philadelphia, PA where he was an active musician, actor and filmmaker during his high school years. He won a Student Emmy Award for acting in and directing his own television series.
Dan also enjoys developing new technology including several Virtual Reality stand-alone games and his Friends and Family test screening software.
