Jennifer Liao made her feature directorial debut with the supernatural dark comedy End of Days, Inc., supported by Telefilm Canada and nominated for a Writers Guild of Canada Award (for screenwriter Christina Ray). She recently wrapped production on the OMNI TV drama series Blood and Water, for which she wrote and directed multiple episodes. Jennifer also directed, wrote, and produced the short films Pride War, Person, A Tiny Prophecy, What You Eat (Bravo!FACT / Ontario Arts Council), and C.E.O. (Toronto Arts Council), and produced the Golden Sheaf Award-nominated short film Family First (Bravo!FACT). Collectively, they have screened at film festivals worldwide and been broadcast on CBC, Bravo! Canada, Movieola, and Air Canada in-flight entertainment. Jennifer was awarded the WIFT-T (Women in Film and Television - Toronto) CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship in 2007. Online, she was a writer on the social media storytelling project Crushing It! A Social Media Love Story, and directed behind-the-scenes videos for the IPF-supported web series Ruby Skye P.I. She previously produced the feature film Sex After Kids, which was released theatrically across Canada and sold internationally after a yearlong festival run.
