Heidi grew up in the Chicago suburbs where she studied music and voice as a child. She began performing at local concerts and events, and at the age of 14 she made her Theatrical debut in the musical, "The Wizard of Oz". She received her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from Barat College in Illinois. She made her big screen debut at the Chicago International Film Festival in award-winning short film An Open Door (2006) and her feature film debut in the award-winning independent film, Farewell Darkness (2007). Her films have played at more than 40 festivals internationally including the Cannes Film Festival.
